Philosophy
Change is a basic law of nature. Whether it’s environmental, social, or business practice/ procedure, we all must learn to adapt to change. The claims process has not been granted exception to this law, therefore, as the claims process continues to change, we, as claim folk, must adapt and change as well.

ACS selected to perform the investigation and development of employment and medical histories of hundreds of claimants for over two dozen law firms and insurance companies involved in the emerging asbestosis litigation.

ACS chosen to handle all the claims for the primary carrier for the 1982 World’s Fair. ACS staffed an onsite claims office 10:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. seven days a week for the six month period May 1, 1982 through October 31, 1982.

Read moreWe are respectfully advising that this quality legacy company, founded in 1977 by the late Vaughn Leslie, will be ceasing operations on Thursday, January 31st, 2019.
However we are proud to announce that effective February 1, 2019 all current ACS employees and adjusters will remain working and offering their field appraisal and adjusting services as employees of another quality, Tennessee-based, independent adjusting company, Tenco Services, Inc.
Tenco was founded in 1947 by the late Joe P Moss Sr. and continues today as a family, property and casualty claims adjusting company located throughout the southeast US.
Please continue to send your assignments to the same email, fax and telephone numbers of Appalachian Claims Service. All such new assignments after January 31st, 2019 will be handled and reported under the name, ACS Tenco.
All the service rates and agreed handling instructions which Appalachian Claims Service (ACS) has had with its clients will be honored and accepted by ACS Tenco on new claims starting this Friday, February 1st, 2019.
